Job Description
Reliant Technologies Inc is seeking a motivated senior level Software/Systems Engineer to be part of a team seeking to innovate in the areas of software development, cloud infrastructure, modeling, simulation, and analysis in support of the Army DEVCOM AvMC Logistics Engineering Laboratory. The candidate will be responsible for leading a development effort aimed at developing a digital modeling, simulation, and analysis environment in a cloud platform using currently deployed tools as well as newly developed tools and infrastructures. This effort will develop and integrate the following: tools to create models, run simulations, and pull results from simulation data bases; provide answers to analysis questions; visualization dashboards to display analysis results; simulation capabilities for statistical modeling of complex systems of systems; advanced analytics capabilities using machine learning libraries. The candidate will work with a team of junior developers to establish the toolset and architecture described above. Additionally, the candidate will actively participate in working group meetings with stakeholders to present analysis, receive feedback, & assess feasibility of additional capabilities.
Skills & Qualifications:
REQUIRED:
Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree and 14 years of experience.
Candidate must have a demonstrated track record of software and systems engineering.
Candidate must have a good knowledge and understanding of Cloud services such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
Candidate must have a good knowledge and understanding of Python, Pandas, & SQL.
Candidate must have good verbal, written, and visual communication skills and be able to work in a fast-paced government/contractor team environment.
Candidate must be willing to relocate to the Huntsville/North Alabama, AL area.
PREFERRED:
Experience with any of the following domains is a plus:
- Air and Missile Defense Systems
- Modeling & Simulation
- Open Architecture Development
- High Performance Computing
Education: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science from an ABET-accredited university with a 3.2 GPA or higher.
Security Requirements
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance
